Keep moving and keep learning

Hello!
I am Amanda Boettcher. I have worked in broadcast media for over 20 years in 5 different cities. I began as a master control operator (fancy word for button pusher) for KJCT-TV in Grand Junction, CO. After three years, I moved to Richmond, VA and became a video editor and photographer for WTVR-TV. That is where I found my passion for creating compelling visual elements that informed viewers, impacted lives and created a better world.

I now work for ABC Action News in Tampa, FL as a motion graphics artist, researcher and planner. I continue to seek out ways to keep people informed of the world around them in innovative ways.

In media you can never stop learning and gaining new skills. I hold a B.A. in Mass Communication, an M.A. in International Relations and a Certificate in 3D Animation. I am currently completing a certificate program in UX design to further expand my skills and knowledge.

When I am not working I enjoy running 5Ks, 10Ks and half-marathons. Recently I completed a 29029 Everesting challenge where I climbed the elevation of Mt. Everest in 36 hours with my wonderful partner, Brandon. My daughter thinks we are nuts, but you really don’t know your limits until you set them and break them.
